i am interested in starting a garden store in hawaii. Online Business Legal Structure

Whether an online, home, store, concession stand or a mobile cart, you will need to first select among sole owner/proprietor, partnership, LLC or corporation, all of which also require a General Business License (not a specific license to your type of business) as well. If your trade name is a business name other than your full personal legal name, you will need to file a DBA .

    What is the difference between a UBI and an EIN  
    A federal EIN stands for federal employer tax ID number. 
    A Unified Business Identifier (UBI) is unique to businesses in Washington state.
    UBIs are can be  obtained here when you order any tax id such as a sales tax id or a state employer id or file a dba and a business licene and UBIs are only used in Washington.
    EIN is issued by the IRS used for Federal tax purposes such as employment taxes and income taxes.
